Book The Book of Stones: Who They Are and What They Teach Review :

I visited a rock shop in South Lake Tahoe last week (4 times) and the storekeepers used this book to answer my questions. They haled it as simple the best gemstone book for lay folks.I really like it. Color pictures of gemstones, easy to read text, helpful in identifying semi-precious gemstones and minerals I've collected over the years, beginning with the turquoise stones and agates my mother collected and left to me.
This is a good and comprehensive guide to the rich bounty of stones we have on Earth. Not every single stone is included, but I am sure that'll be rectified in the future. In the meantime, this book is great for identification, and best uses or applications of the stones. I especially appreciate the melding of science and spiritual information for each stone.I like it so much that I also got the mini edition to carry with me for quick reference.
